Gulfport Has Many Big Development Projects on the Table

Gulfport is the second largest city in the state, and at the rate it’s growing, it may not be second long.

Tuesday’s Gulfport City Council meeting was full of talks of economic development and expansion. Between the construction of a new Dollar General, the proposed aquarium, and a $20 million infrastructure bond, Gulfport seems to be moving in the right direction.

David Parker, Economic Development Director for the City of Gulfport, says, "It’s a huge development for Gulfport. It’s going to affect our roads, our bridges, how we develop certain areas, one thing I always look for new areas we can develop."

Parker credits Gulfport’s recent success to the quality team Mayor Hewes has put together
