Gulfport alum Dillion Brown named to 2021 NAIA Gold Glove team

Some belated praise for Gulfport alum Dillion Brown, now at Point University in Georgia, one of nine players named to the NAIA Gold Glove team one month ago today.

In 2020, the junior started 45 games and played in 47, holding down the center outfield spot with a fielding percentage of .992, five outfield assists, and only one error.

At the plate, he hit just .191 but had an on-base percentage of .409 thanks to a team-leading 31 walks which translated to 38 runs scored, good for second on the Skyhawks, five home runs, and 22 RBIs.
