Gulf Coast Woman Magazine recognizes the ‘100 Successful Women to Know’ honorees

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- A powerful celebration of leadership was on display at the Beau Rivage as one hundred women are recognized for shaping the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The honorees were celebrated Friday morning during the tenth annual ‘100 Successful Women to Know’ luncheon hosted by Gulf Coast Woman Magazine.

Every nominee is honored with a panel of judges choosing the top 100.

The event highlights the impact of women across the Mississippi Gulf Coast from nonprofits and the arts to business and entrepreneurship. Gulf Coast Woman Media CEO Dorothy P. Wilson said, “This is an opportunity, one day of the year where we celebrate more women in business than any other time of the year. There’s a lot of pheromones going on up in here today, there’s a lot of excitement about networking and seeing people that you know, but also being able to congratulate people that were nominated this year.”

“It’s so, so very important to empower women. Often times they find themselves in a scenario where the boss of the company, the owner of the company receives the awards, have the chance to give the speech, and this is an opportunity for any woman that is successful in her job and in her community to be recognized.”
