Gulf Coast Water Gun Fight

One event in Gulfport Sunday gave children a safe and cool way to enjoy the summer heat.

Families and children from all across the Coast broke out the supersoakers and water balloons to participate in the first-ever Mississippi Gulf Coast Water Gun Fight.

Event organizer Timothy Bolling says events like these are also a way to stress safety and raise awareness for gun violence. “You know, it’s very important. The gun rate violence of here on the Coast, that’s probably the number one most important thing, for the kids to be safe, graduate, you know, stay in school.”

Bolling plans to host another water gun fight in July.
