Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System Facilities to suspend operations Sept. 16 due to inclement weather

BILOXI, Miss. – All Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) facilities will suspend operations through Wednesday, Sept. 16, due to inclement weather.

This includes the Biloxi VA Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi; the Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC) in Pensacola, Florida; the Mobile Community-based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Mobile, Alabama; the Eglin CBOC, in Eglin, Florida; and the Panama City Beach CBOC in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Veterans scheduled for an appointment during this time are advised that their appointments will be rescheduled. The GCVHCS will contact affected individuals as soon as possible to reschedule appointments and offer virtual care options such as VA Video Connect. Veterans are encouraged to request a VA Video Connect appointment if available. Veterans with questions or concerns are encouraged to call 228.523.5000.

The Biloxi VA Medical Center Emergency Room will remain open for extreme and urgent cases; however, all Veterans are encouraged not to travel during the impending weather event unless necessary. Veterans are encouraged to use local emergency services if warranted.
