Gulf Coast Rescue Mission Cleanup
The Gulf Coast Rescue Mission has taken it upon themselves to start cleaning up after a fire destroyed their main building and thrift store, but they need help.
Starting this Saturday, the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission is asking members of the Gulf Coast community to help them clean up the mess last Saturday’s fire left behind. The public cleanup will last from 9 until noon.
The mission is asking anyone willing to come out and lend a hand to make sure and wear suitable footwear, gloves and possibly even pants.
Food and drinks will be provided, but you can also bring your own.
The rescue mission is located on Mission Lane off of Debuys Road in Biloxi.
Thomas Mims with Gulf Coast Rescue Mission said, “There are a lot of people on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that need, a lot of people that need food, clothing and shelter and we need to provide it. We’re actually one of the few places that provide that kind of service. We need to do it real soon, especially with winter coming.”
