Gulf Coast Crew Soccer Camp

Kids in Jackson County kicked it into high gear for their final day at Gulf Coast Crew’s Soccer Camp. The future soccer stars learned dribbling and control of the ball on Monday. Tuesday focused on passing and shooting along with additional technical work. Wednesday was the final day of the camp, which was held indoors thanks to the rain. The kids played and kept away from the coaches, both collegiate athletes and locals of the coast.

One of the coaches tells News 25 what she wants the kids to take away from this week. “The whole point of soccer is just to have fun and secondly just to learn, we want them to learn as much as possible whether it’s building new relationships with other people, gaining new experiences, we have a couple who has never played before so they need to learn the basics of soccer, what to do, what not to do,” said Coach Darby Nettles.

The next Gulf Coast Crew Soccer Camp will be held in George County from July 18th to the 20th. You can register your child starting ages 5 to 15 at gulfcoastcrew.com.
