Group Participates in Go Ruck Challenge for Charity

Tonight, over 50 locals will be running along the Coast doing intense military drills and it’s all for a good cause.
Throughout the night, a Coast group will complete a 12 hour military-like team building challenge as part of the “Go Ruck Challenge” done across the nation.
Two special force cadre leaders will direct the team. It will start at the Biloxi Lighthouse and end at a local Biloxi VFW. The team will have to carry the American flag at all times along with completing other military-like drills. They will also have to run through water.
Janice Ferguson, a Go Ruck Challenge leader, said, “We chose to make it a charity event. So many members of our gym are connected to military, they have veterans as husbands, veteran fathers, grandfathers who served and we just chose as a group that we wanted to raise awareness for the veterans and the cause that the VFW supports.”
Through the challenge, participants will carry the bag of money they raised to the VFW. The challenge will end around 8 a.m. at the Biloxi Lighthouse.
