Groundbreaking Monday Morning for New D’Iberville Police Department

City leaders in D’Iberville are getting ready for the groundbreaking of what will be the city’s new police department. At 10 am Monday morning, D’iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne, City Manager Clay Jones and Mayor Rusty Quave will be among those at the groundbreaking.

The new state-of-the-art complex will be built on Lamey Bridge Road, north of the fire department south of I-110, by DCD Construction.

Once complete, the facility will serve as the new home for the D’Iberville Police Department.

City leaders say the new police department will provide a safer working environment for officers, a training facility, modern technology and the capability to sustain officers for long periods of time, including times of any natural disaster.
