Great Southern Golf Club works to solve debt

The Great Southern Golf Club has filed for bankruptcy.

Board President Ellis Hill says even though they’ve been in a cash flow positive this year, they still have not been able to pay the debt which is just more than $4 million.

Hill says the board has been working on a plan to sell parts of their property that aren’t used for the golf course to build condos and single-family homes and use profit to go towards debt.

As of now, the club will close their restaurant which has not been profitable and continue to sell drinks and snacks from the pro shop.
