Governor Bryant promises to sign lottery bill

Governor Phil Bryant has a mid-September deadline to sign a bill creating a state lottery to help pay for transportation and he has promised to do so.

The governor says it will be at least six months to a year before a lottery officially gets underway. A five person lottery corporation will be appointed by Governor Bryant to oversee operations.
