Governor Bryant, EMA officials address Nate
As Nate moves closer to the Coast, state officials are telling residents it’s best to prepare for the worst.
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant joined Harrison County emergency officials to address the storm during a press conference in Gulfport this morning.
Officials warned residents living in the six southern counties, especially in low-lying areas, to evacuate. Emergency management officials are anticipating the storm surge to rise at least ten feet from the storm. Governor Bryant says FEMA will be on stand-by following the storm.
Five shelters will be open this weekend throughout Harrison County.
