Gov. Bryant Gives Check to W.A.M.A. to Repair AC

Governor Phil Bryant made an appearance at the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs Tuesday to help out with their broken air conditioning unit.

The Governor and Mississippi Power worked together to find the $141,000 to replace the museum’s cooling system, which is critical to keeping the art pristine. The museum and the Anderson family say they are thankful for the Governor’s never ending support.

John Anderson, of the Walter and Peter Anderson family says, “We are just incredibly grateful to the Governor for having the creative vision to help the museum in this way. He gave a wonderful talk about the importance of the museum to the State of Mississippi and explained why this effort is necessary for the state.”

Governor Bryant says local art in Mississippi is important to our children’s education and should never be forgotten.
