Google Outage: Gmail, YouTube, other services knocked offline by data outage

You may have trouble logging into Gmail, YouTube, and several other Google programs this morning.

Applications and websites that depend on Google’s cloud-based services have been knocked offline after suffering a data outage reported early Monday morning.

Users around the world reported problems with Google Docs, Google Drive, the Android Play Store, Google Maps, and more.

However, Google’s search engine remains operational.

Large-scale data outages at Google are rare. When asked by news agencies for comment, a spokesperson for Google said they could not issue a statement because they were unable to access their email.

The current status of Google online services can be checked at Google’s Workspace Status Dashboard.
