Good Behavior Calls for a Celebration

The junior class at Biloxi High School is the best behaved class in grades 9 through 12. Today, they celebrated their win at a field day held just for them. The juniors edged out the freshmen, sophomore, and senior classes at the high school based on weekly points each class earned for positive behavior throughout the year.
Biloxi High School Principal Marcus Boudreaux tells News 25 the contest serves as positive reinforcement, rewarding students when they do the right thing. “We have a student population of about 1540 students and 1450 of them do exactly what we want all the time. We want to make sure those kids get recognized.”
Biloxi High School junior Kyra Etherton said, “We’ve had hamburgers and hot dogs, snacks. They’ve been playing music. We’ve been just all hanging out and getting out of class.”
The event was put on by the Parent Teacher Organization.
