Golfers Gather To Lend A Hand In Gulfport

Today Golfers from across the Gulf Coast united to help a local man who is in a fight for his life.

The Great Southern Golf Club organized a benefit golf tournament for John Harrison Doucet, the local sailor who was shocked when power lines came into contact with a sailboat that he was towing in Gulfport this September. Over 90 golfers showed up to participate in the tournament as well as a silent auction at the course clubhouse. Event organizer Austin Gillis tells news 25 he is blown away by the support John has been receiving from the entire community.
