‘Going Places’ scholarship contest

The company Sparklight, formerly known as Cable One, recently made a big announcement.

For the 2019 fall semester, Sparklight will award three $3,000 scholarships to people in the community. You must be a student age 17 or older enrolled in higher education institutions for the upcoming fall semester and who lives in one of the communities in the 21 states served by the company.

The contest is called ‘Going Places’ and you use social media for a chance to win. Sparklight General Manager Greg Capranica said, “You don’t necessarily have to be one of our subscribers, you just have to live in our area. To enter, you would simply send in a photo of yourself and a brief description of your educational path and why you’re pursuing it and how it’s going to benefit both you and the town that you live in.”

Entries will be accepted through August 2nd at Sparklight.com/contest. Winners will be highlighted on Sparklight social media channels including Facebook and Instagram.
