Gobble Wobble Food Drive and Bridge Run

The North Bay Civitan Club of D’Iberville-St. Martin invited turkey’s from all across the Coast to run the Biloxi Bay Bridge at the 10th annual Gobble Wobble Food Drive and Bridge Run.

Some runners came dressed in costume while others settled for your typical cardio attire. The goal of the run is simple: collect at least 1,000 non-perishable food items ahead of Thanksgiving for the Lord is my Help in Ocean Springs.

North Bay Civitan Club President Keith Wilson tells News 25 their goal was to put a fun spin on a typical food drive. “We’ve got people that have turkey hats and turkey feathers on and stuff and even have a turkey mascot. So, I mean you’ve got all of the ingredients for a great, fun event and that’s what we hope we’ve really done for the community.”

It’s safe to say the Civitan Club hit their goal, collecting almost 1,200 non-perishable food items.
