To-Go Cup District and Tax Reform Vote in Pascagoula

Add Pascagoula to the list of cities on the Coast who have decided where alcoholic to-go cups will be allowed.
Last night the City Council voted to set up its leisure district along Pascagoula Street from Convent Avenue to Highway 90 and west to the river. It will also encompass the downtown bars and restaurants.
August 30th residents will be asked to vote on whether they want a two percent tax on prepared food at restaurants and other food vendors.
The money raised from that tax would support a $10 million bond for parks and recreation projects.
