Giants Beat the Saints
The Saints are now 0-2 after losing to the Giants Sunday. The final score was New York 16, New Orleans 13.
Drew Brees and Eli Manning both put up big numbers the last time these teams met, but the defense stepped up and held the opposing offense scoreless until the fourth quarter.
Injuries to the Saints defensive secondary continue to be a problem as PJ Williams had to be carted off the field after a nasty hit.
On the final play of the game, the Giants sealed the deal with a game winning field goal.
New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said, “It’s a disappointing game to lose. I just told our team this, we did a number of things really well with the plan coming in. I thought defensively to come away with three takeaways, I thought there were a lot of good things.”
New Orleans is back in action next Monday against division rival Atlanta.
