Gautier man charged in shooting of juvenile in Pascagoula

A Gautier man is behind bars, charged with shooting a juvenile during an altercation on Monday.

Pascagoula Police Chief Matt Chapman said officers were sent to a call of shots fired about 7:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Market Street.

When officers arrived, they learned a juvenile male who had been shot was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injures.

Jerry Magee Jr., 22, of Gautier turned himself in to Pascagoula Police and was charged with aggravated assault. He was being held at the Jackson County jail on a $250,000 bond.
