Gautier bank robbery suspect arrested

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies.

Fifty-two year-old Clifford Montague was taken into custody in Memphis after local investigators and the FBI linked him to three robberies. The latest robbery happened in South Mississippi.

In February, Gautier police responded to the Navigator Federal Credit Union on Highway 90 after reports of a bank robbery. Montague is also being charged for two other bank robberies, one in Pace, Florida and one in Ellisville, Mississippi.

He has been booked into the Shelby County Jail in Tennessee and is awaiting federal charges.
