Gator hunting permits accepted through June 7th

If you’re looking to hunt alligators this season you have seven days from today to submit your application.

Applications will be accepted through June 7^th through the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. The first drawing for permits will take place around June 13^th, a total of 930 permits will be issued for the ten-day season beginning August 31^st.

Private lands alligator hunting season is available to landowners within 34 counties. Applications for those permits are also available through the Department of Wildlife’s web page.
