‘Fur-reedom’ Fees Waived at Humane Society of South Mississippi

Independence Day is right around the corner and the Humane Society of South Mississippi is giving you an opportunity to give independence to a cat or dog.
Starting today until Saturday, the Humane Society is hosting ‘Fur-reedom Fees Waived’, all you have to do is pay a $5 tag fee and donate to the Humane Society.
The facility is over capacity right now, housing 391 pets. HSSM Community Engagement Specialist Katie King said, “We have about 391 animals in the shelter as of today. We have 278 that are out on foster right now and so that’s a total of 669 animals that the Humane Society is in care for right now. It’s really important that you just come out and meet your best friend.”
If you want to spend the Fourth of July with a new best friend, fees will still be waived tomorrow and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
