Funeral held for Gulfport city worker shot in carjacking

A family grieves for a man gone too soon.

William Waltman of Diamondhead was doing contract work with the City of Gulfport when he was shot and killed during a carjacking last week.

A private viewing was this morning at Heritage Funeral Home followed by his service.

Waltman was driving a company vehicle when the gunman, Jeremy Reynolds, took his life.

Reynolds killed three others before Waltman and died during a standoff with police in Gulfport.
