Fugitive wanted for murder arrested in Moss Point
The Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, along with the Moss Point Police Department, arrested a wanted fugitive who had been on the run for nearly a year.
Delarrious Dewayne Crawford was wanted by the Mufreesboro Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for first-degree murder in the shooting death of 25-year-old Daicori Sunders in June 2019.
Crawford has been on the run for nearly a year and was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Most Wanted List.
Information was developed that Crawford had been residing in Moss Point near the intersection of Holly and Aino Streets where he was taken into custody without incident earlier today. Jeremy Stilwell Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force said, “We obviously want to get anybody in custody that we can as quickly as possible. So, with that being said, once we got the information we moved on it quickly and we were able to get him into custody as soon as we could.”
Crawford is currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center where he awaits extradition back to Tennessee.
