Fuel your School

This morning, Chevron kicked off its annual ‘Fuel your School’ campaign with a delivery of school supplies worth approximately $5,000 to students at St. Martin Middle School.

To help alleviate some of this cost of a classroom, Chevron launched the ‘Fuel your School’ program which generates funds to help provide critical education resources to Jackson County schools.  This year, St. Martin students were given tiny robots as well as 3D pens.

Julie Massey, cyber foundations teacher, tells News 25 this is the first chance her students have gotten to learn how to code.  “I mean, we just plugged the robots in and they are downloading code. They are writing by themselves so they are programming and then they are actually seeing exactly what is happening with the robots. Nothing before today so these kids have gone beyond my expectations.”
