Friday 082815 Forecast

Tomorrow (Saturday) will be the last of the drier days we’ve had recently, as southerly wind will be bringing additional heat and moisture to the Gulf Coast. As the high pressure continues to weaken, and move to the east, we can continue to expect daytime highs in the low 90s near the coastline and the daily chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Otherwise, we will have plenty of blue sky and sunshine, but nighttime lows will creep towards 80 throughout the week. TS Erika shows some weakening, but continues to push West. At this time, a landfall on the western side of Florida near Tampa on Monday. Coastal residents are encouraged to be prepared and stay informed in case a more westward track is taken.
