Free Online Property Service

The Biloxi Police Department is encouraging people to take advantage of a free secure online service that helps recover stolen or lost items.
LeadsOnline, a service the police have used for years, has developed a new service, ReportIt, that allows residents to store serial numbers, item descriptions, pictures and scans of receipts so items may be more easily identified if stolen or lost. It may also be helpful when filing insurance claims.
Biloxi Police Chief John Miller said, “We like it from a law enforcement aspect because if something were to happen to their property, if it was stolen or even if there was a hurricane and they need it for insurance purposes, all they have to do is go to LeadsOnline, pull it up. Everything’s going to be there that they enter. It’s all going to be there. Law enforcement has no control. We can’t get in and see what they put there but in the case of a burglary, they can print that and give it to us and say this is the property that was stolen from me. We can immediately start looking for that.”
Anyone wanting to participate in ReportIt can register for the free service at to begin building their personal property inventory list.
