Free meals to be provided for children in Gulfport following school closures

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — With several local school closures over coronavirus concerns, some families may find themselves facing unforeseen hardship.

That’s why Representative Sonya Williams Barnes, in partnership with Feed My Sheep, is offering free meals to school-aged children, for this week from 12 noon until 1 p.m. while meals last.

The meals will be provided at the following locations in Gulfport:

  • Emerald Pines at 3318 39th Avenue
  • Morning Star Baptist Church at 2050 Thornton Avenue
  • Forest Heights Boys & Girls Club at 201 Holly Circle
