Free Meal for First Responders

Today first responders in Jackson County were invited to sit down for a free meal put together by the employees at Coldwell Banker in Ocean Springs.
The first responders were invited to take a break from the line of duty and be treated to a scrumptious spread of burgers and hotdogs, grilled right outside, complete with side items and a table full of desserts.
Coldwell Banker tells News 25 it’s the least they could do to show local law enforcement that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, something the officers say they appreciate. Chase Elkins with Mississippi Highway Patrol said, “Well in the world that we live in today and we see all the backlash and all the bad and we see the negativity in the media so often, it’s good to see that the community supports what we do and they stand behind us.”
Coldwell Banker Alfonso Offices CEO Carlene Alfonso said, “These guys put their life on the line every day and it seems we’re hearing more and more about what can happen to folks as they go into a house or as they stop to help somebody and save a life and we just don’t think they get enough appreciation.”
Coldwell Banker hopes to make this an annual event.
