Free Lunch for Police Officers at Rouses Market
Some lucky law enforcement officers were able to feel and taste the love this afternoon.
Rouses Market served free lunches to any police officers that stopped at one of their 64 locations today between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Donny Rouse said in a statement: “This is just one way we are showing our support in the wake of the recent tragic shootings.”
Local Rouses employees tell News 25 they are happy to be able to take part in such a supportive gesture and proud to be part of such a generous company. Rouses Market #41 Director Robert Strahan said, “It started with the Rouses family. They wanted to give something back to the local law enforcement so they decided to do it at all Rouses locations. We’re just proud to be part of that and to give something back.”
On the menu today for the men and women in blue at Rouses on Pass Road in Gulfport was fried catfish.
