Free health screenings at Feed my Sheep in Gulfport

Today at Feed my Sheep in Gulfport, individuals in need could not only come grab some food, but also a free health screening.

The nonprofit organization, who helps feed the community, partnered with My Brother’s Keeper today until 2 p.m.

My Brother’s Keeper provided a series of free preventive health screenings as well as mental and sexual health counseling through the ‘Becoming a Healthier U’ program.

Their open arms healthcare center is open to serve the community and brought their satellite clinic where they provided all types of testing for the community here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My Brother’s Keeper South Director Joseph Lindsey said, “We have a satellite clinic called Open Arms Healthcare Center where we provide preventative health screenings for individuals and that’s mental and sexual health counseling through preventative healthcare through our BHU program. Through our BHU program we do preventative health screenings, we do blood pressure, body mass index, we do cholesterol, glucose levels, HIV testing, and all of the STD testing here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
