Fourth Annual Senior Citizen Prom

Hancock County senior citizens had a ball under the big top today for the fourth annual Senior Citizen Prom.
Hundreds of people attend the prom each year and this year was no different. The seniors came dressed to impress and enjoyed dancing, live music, food from celebrity chefs, a photo booth and more.
Some members of the military and students from St. Stanislaus were on hand to volunteer, dance with seniors and ensure the seniors left smiling. St. Stanislaus student and volunteer Andrew Trapani said, “Pretty much what we’re doing is to give these ladies and gentlemen a great day. They came out. They got out into the world today. We’re hopefully making them smile and giving them a good day, a good experience for them and hopefully just put a smile on their face. That’s the real goal here.”
The Senior Citizen Prom is held every year. It is open to all seniors ages 55 and older. The price of admission is just one non-perishable item for the Hancock County Food Pantry.
