Found guilty of first-degree murder

A Harrison County jury found a man guilty of a shooting death that happened two years ago at Southern View Apartments in Biloxi.

Thirty-one year-old Orlando Newell of Biloxi was sentenced to life without parole for the crime. He was arrested and charged with first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon shortly after the crime that happened on September 24^th, 2016.

The victim, Michael Anthony Woods, was shot five times and after the shooting Newell fled the scene.
