Former St. Martin basketball standout Andre Brunt II signs with Tougaloo College

Two years after his initial signing day ceremony, former St. Martin boys basketball standout Andre Brunt II is back where it all began to do it all over again.

This afternoon, the former Yellowjacket put pen to paper with Tougaloo College in Jackson, having played the last two seasons at Snead State Community College in Boaz, Alabama.

This season, Brunt averaged 4.8 points per game in a bench role, but now has an opportunity to get back to the player he was at St. Martin when he led the team in scoring as a senior. “It just means another opportunity, basically. Another opportunity to pursue my talent, keep doing what I love, and I just want to continue doing it. I had some doubts. Sometimes I just wanted to stop because at Snead I didn’t really play that much, but I’m just glad to go to Tougaloo and get another opportunity”

Brunt says this opportunity presented itself within the last few weeks and he will head up to the Metro over the summer.

He still has three years of eligibility remaining.
