Food vendors to stay set up in Gulfport Premium Outlets parking lot through Sunday

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — This year’s Gulfport Fair Food Fest arrived just in the nick of time.

Six food tents and trucks are set up in the parking lot of the Gulfport Premium Outlets.

With many restaurants temporary closed due to Hurricane Zeta, dozens of people have taken advantage of the food fest, where folks can dine on staple fair foods and more.

One vendor, Andrew Preston, says this event has been booked for some time, but their arrival seems to have come at the perfect time for the Gulf Coast community.

“We’ve gotten a great response from the general public. They have really thanked us for coming in… like it was a meant to be kind of thing. Obviously we already had it planned, but we didn’t plan on Zeta. Zeta set our plans back a little but I think us being here has been great for the community because it has now helped the community.”

The vendors will be set up through next Sunday. They start every day at 11 a.m.
