Food and Gifts Donated to Gulfport Police
Gulfport police officers started their day with some Chick-Fil-A, thanks to two women who dropped off the breakfast this morning.
The two ladies wanted to show their appreciation for local law enforcement and decided to do it with a meal.
Members of the Gulfport Police Department grabbed their chicken biscuits and thanked the women for their support.
Officers told News 25 with the recent tension between law enforcement and the public, it is uplifting to feel appreciation.
Cindy Ward with Gentiva Hospice said, “We want to express our thanks to out Gulfport police officers for what they do. You know they put their lives on the line every day to protect us and we just want to tell them how very much we appreciate their service and how very much we appreciate what they do.”
Leslie Bucklar with Boyington Health and Rehab Center said, “I have children that have a dad that is in the police department. So for us as a family, we understand what they do and what their mission is, to go out there every day and put their lives on the line for us.”
This adds on to the numerous other food donations and gifts the Gulfport Police Department has received in the past week.
