Flowers for Sophia

The D’Iberville Middle School student council will hold a ‘Flowers for Sophia Myers’ fundraiser during the school’s Cruisin’ kick-off event this Friday, rallying behind an Ocean Springs girl who is battling cancer.
Students can purchase and decorate a paper flower for $1.00. The donations and flowers will be given to Sophia Myers, a seven-year-old who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer earlier this year.
In addition, the art club at D’Iberville Middle School will set up a ‘Flowers for Sophia’ booth at Friday night’s football game between D’Iberville High and Ocean Springs. Art club members will paint flowers on faces and the DMS student council will also sell their paper flowers in the stands.
