Florida man charged in death of woman at apartment complex

A 44-year-old man is charged with murder in the death of a woman at an apartment complex in Harrison County.

Andrew Luckhurst of Florida was charged with 1st degree murder and violation of protection order, according to the Harrison County jail docket.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said the victim has been identified as 62-year-old Becky Endres, who had recently moved to the area from Florida.

A call was made to 911 about 9:30 p.m. and when first responders arrived at Village Place Apartments, they found Endres dead.

According to Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson, Endres had blood on her head and face and signs of blunt force trauma on her body. She also had marks indicating she had been strangled.

Switzer also said that Endres and Luckhurst had a history of domestic issues in Florida.

Harrison County investigators said Luckhurst was in a relationship with Endres, although she did have an order of protection filed against him in Florida. Harrison County also impounded a vehicle as part of the investigation.

According to the Lake County jail docket, Luckhurst had been arrested seven times since January 2020 on charges of batter, DUI, criminal mischief and domestic battery by strangulation. Two of those arrests were by Eustus Police Department.
