Florida fugitive found in Gautier

Detectives find a fugitive from Key West, Florida sleeping in an abandoned home in Gautier after a Biloxi witness tips off police.
According to Gautier Detective Christopher Brown, 42-year-old William Baker skipped out on his sentencing hearing last week after being found guilty of trying to participate in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl on Craigslist.
Florida authorities issued a warrant for his arrest and were keeping up with his whereabouts via cell phone towers. Detective Brown says Baker ended up telling a Biloxi resident his name and number. The witness searched his name online and realized he was wanted.
Gautier police were able to arrest him without incident. Baker is in Jackson County awaiting extradition back to Florida.
