Flash Flood Emergency in Anchor Lake area of Pearl River County

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- In Pearl River County, there’s a flash flood emergency in the Carriere area as the possibility of a dam failure remains a concern.

Emergency management officials in the county tell us there is potential for the Anchor Lake Dam to experience structural issues, including possible failure or overflow.

Residents of the Anchor Lake subdivision east of I-59 in the East Hobolochitto Creek area from East Boley to West Union Road have been asked to evacuate.
