Flags flown at half-staff in honor of Harrison County Deputy Glenn Everett Roe

Flags were flown at half-staff at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in honor of Harrison County Deputy Glenn Everett Roe.

Deputy Roe was killed in an accident while he and his wife Melanie were riding their motorcycles in Jackson County over the weekend. As they were nearing JF Douglas Road, a Toyota pickup truck turned and both motorcycles hit the truck on the passenger side.

Glenn Roe was pronounced dead at the hospital. His wife, Melanie, is in the hospital being treated for injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell, no charges will be filed against 18-year-old Zachary Winans of St. Martin, the male driving the Toyota pickup truck.
