Fish fry fundraiser at Biloxi Fire Museum

The Biloxi Fire Department does more than just save lives; they can also throw down in the kitchen as they put on a fish fry fundraiser at the Biloxi Fire Museum.

This is an annual event to raise money for the museum. Retired and current firefighters put their cooking skills to the test, frying fish and shrimp plates.

For $8 you can get fish or shrimp with potato salad, baked beans, and bread. All proceeds from the fundraiser went toward the fire museum. Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney said, “The money raised here will go to daily operating expenses for the museum. We don’t receive any money from any organizations so we depend on the community to fund it. This is one of the three annual events that we have each year to raise money for that.”

The museum is also considering putting some of the money towards a play area for children.
