First week of NFL draws crowds to local sportsbooks

The Saints weren’t the only team to get a big win over the weekend!

The Draft Kings Sportsbook at the Scarlet Pearl Casino saw large crowds from Saturday all the way through Monday night as hundreds flocked to the book to see if their bets would hit.

Thousands of bets were placed over the three day period as the sportsbook had one of their busiest weekends to date.

Sportsbook Supervisor Nikki McGowan tells News 25 that despite the casino’s late arrival to sports betting, they’ve started to establish a good rapport with members of the Gulf Coast. “We weren’t here in the beginning so now we’ve established that crowd and they’re coming back to see us. We have a better menu, we have a new menu that we offer. We have better betting, new prop bets. We have a wide variety of bets and they like us best.”

The Scarlet Pearl is happy to say that they currently offer the best parlay odds on the Coast.
