First Splash Pad Coming to City of D’Iberville
While one splash pad opens in Harrison County, plans to open another have just been released. The City of D’Iberville will be getting its very first splash pad at Rudy Moran Park off Lamey Bridge Road.
Residents will be able to beat the heat at this new splash pad through a partnership between the city and Harrison County. Both will help foot the bill for the $30,000 project.
When it opens, D’Iberville parents and their children will no longer have to travel too far for a little fun in the sun. Harrison County Board of Supervisors President Beverly Martin said, “D’Iberville right now doesn’t have any. There’s several scattered throughout the county. Biloxi has two or three, they’re scattered throughout between here and Pass Christian, but D’Iberville, this is going to be the first one and I think the kids will like it.”
Martin tells News 25 there are two other splash pads to be built ahead of the D’Iberville one, but they hope to start construction in another month.
