First responders honored in Jackson County

This evening in Jackson County, Keesler Federal Credit Union honored first responders at their annual celebratory dinner.
This is the third annual dinner that’s been held in honor of the men and women who put their lives on the line every day for the Coast community.
Keesler has partnered with several businesses and organizations from throughout the area to put on the event which had nearly 500 guests in attendance. Keesler Federal Credit Union President and CEO Andy Swoger said, “It’s really a way of us showing our appreciation for the first responders because it starts in the community. Without these folks doing what they do every single day, the community isn’t there. Therefore businesses like ours can’t exist. It’s really about the community and just showing appreciation for these guys.”
At the event, each agency in Jackson County awards one of their own the title of First Responder of the Year.
