First Responders Aid Team deploys to Florida

Margaritaville in Biloxi is asking Coast residents for hurricane relief donations.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Biloxi has partnered with Margaritaville and the Krewe of Neptune to form the First Responders Mutual Aid Team. The team will collect donations until 8 p.m. tonight in the Margaritaville parking lot and then ship out to Panama City early Friday morning. While in Florida, they will distribute items, cook, and start gutting out houses, and begin cleaning property.

Margaritaville is also giving those who donate a little incentive for giving back. Margaritaville Director of Public and Media Relations Ann-Carter Tate said, “If you bring certain items in we will return your kindness back with a little bit of fun here at Margaritaville with some game cards. If you bring in a case of Gatorade we are going to give you a $10 game card to go into the family entertainment center and have a little fun with your family.”

The First Responders Mutual Aid Team tells News 25 there will be future trips to continue helping with the recovery and rebuilding process.
