First female NFL artist visits the Coast

Tempy Moore is the first female artist signed by the NFL through the Deacon Jones Foundation. Moore found her passion and calling by joining together two of her favorite things: sports and art.
A self-taught charcoal pastel artist, Moore’s drawings can be found in museums and art galleries around the world. Now, one of her pictures will be found here on the Coast. Ocean Springs Mayor Shea Dobson stopped by Moore’s art show in Biloxi Sunday to get an original drawing done by Moore to hang in his office.
“I started drawing Myron Cope and a lot of the Pittsburgh Steelers came into play after that and the next thing you know, I’m doing flea markets and charity events and the word grew.”
More has been drawing sports figures for about ten years now. Along with sports, Moore has even found herself drawing political and business leaders.
