First day of school at St. Patrick Catholic High School
St. Patrick Catholic High School students returned to school today and faculty and staff say they are excited to kick off the new school year.
Last year students had to adjust to having lunch delivered to their classrooms, signage throughout the school directing them through the hallways and virtual learning.
This year, all the students are back in class in person, masks are required in the hallways and when students cannot be at least three feet apart. Students can also finally enjoy a normal lunch this year.
Principal Dr. Matt Buckley tells News 25 this is the largest enrollment the school has seen and he is looking forward to a successful school year. “We are planning to be here in person all year and excited to be back in person and have all of our students here back on campus. We want to try to create the normal experience as much as possible. Of course, our students will be wearing masks throughout the day during times, but other than that, we want to celebrate and do everything as traditional as possible.”
Dr. Buckley says the Fighting Irish will continue to build and grow.
